Business reports & sales dashboard
Revenue, sales, orders, profit, inventory, customers and top-selling products on one screen, built from the bills the counter writes. Decisions based on today's numbers, not the month-end reconstruction.
What reports does retail POS software give you?
Retail POS reports show what was sold, for how much, how it was paid and what is left in stock. Vanikra's dashboard shows today's sales, orders, revenue, a sales chart, the low-stock count and top-selling products; its reports break down sales, revenue and product performance so an owner can see how the business is doing without a manual tally.
What the dashboard shows
Today's sales, orders and revenue
The headline numbers for the day, updated with every bill.
Sales chart
The shape of the day or period at a glance.
Top-selling products
What is actually moving, ranked.
Five decisions these numbers change
- Step 1
What to reorder
Top products plus the low-stock list tell you what to buy before it runs out. Reorder guide →
- Step 2
What to stop stocking
Product reports show items that have not sold in weeks, which are cash sitting on a shelf.
- Step 3
When to staff the counter
Sales by time show the peaks.
- Step 4
Whether the drawer matches
Revenue by payment method gives the expected cash figure.
- Step 5
Whether growth is real
Sales and orders compared over time separate a good day from a good month.
What the reports cover
| Report area | Question it answers | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Sales | How much did we sell, and when? | Daily close, staffing by hour or day |
| Revenue | What did we take, and by what method? | Reconciliation, accountant handover |
| Products | What sold, what did not? | Reordering, promotions, dropping dead stock |
| Inventory | What is in stock and what is low? | Purchase planning |
| Customers | Who is buying and how often? | Service and follow-up |
Reports are only as good as the billing
Every figure above is built from bills. Sales that bypass the POS, products billed as "miscellaneous", or stock never entered will all show up as gaps in the reports. The practical rule: bill everything through the POS, keep the product catalogue clean, and the reports take care of themselves.
Reporting questions
What reports does POS software provide?
Typically sales by period, revenue, orders, product performance (what sold and how much), inventory position and customer activity. Vanikra shows today's sales, orders, revenue, a sales chart and top-selling products on the dashboard, with reports on sales, revenue and products.
What is the difference between the dashboard and reports?
The dashboard is the at-a-glance view for today: sales, orders, revenue, low-stock count and top products. Reports are the detailed breakdowns used to analyse sales, revenue and product performance over time.
Can my accountant use these reports?
Sales and revenue reports are a source for accounting and tax work. They complement, rather than replace, accounting software.
How current is the data?
Reports read from the same bill, stock and payment records that billing writes, so a completed bill is reflected without a separate update step.
